from Toyota. As you know, I bought a brand new Toyota FJ cruiser (with "Dan

send me a die cast model for my desk.
Cool – I want it! Heck it's free.
Then they will hit me with "service specials" especially for
me:
· Recommended service intervals
· Stories from other FJ owners just like me
(community)
· Discounts from Barnes & noble, Tivo, T-mobile and
Bass Pro shops....
In other words, they send me a $2 car model, they sell / rent
my name, and they pepper me with offers for accessories & such. Not a bad
deal, I want the car model!
Of course it's "Free gift with purchase" but it's a nice little
surprise – and a smart marketing agency move for Toyota. I wonder if the big
three US dinosaurs are doing the same thing?
