I’m going to whine here for a little bit – and you’ll undoubtedly agree.

It’s a wonderful city – the Calgary stampede is world class – and the growth and vitality in this city is incredible.

BUT IT’S MINUS 41 DEGREES!!!!!

I am not kidding.

Without the wind… minus 29, with the wind… minus 41. Celsius/Fahrenheit…IT’S ALL THE SAME!

Not funny.

At all.

It is supposed to warm up to a whopping minus 22 tomorrow. Yee-haw! Bring out the shorts and t-shirts, and let’s have a party.

I am also blaming the weather on the flu and strep throat I am just getting over. Took me out for 7 days. Completely bed-bound me (is that a word? it fits though).

It isn’t always like this though.

We get the Chinook weather – and are very grateful for that. It is a rare weather pattern that changes the temperature drastically (fewer than 5 places in the world that get this kind of weather).

What’s my point?

Today – that sometimes mother nature can be downright nasty!

Enough said.
